BEIJING,
Sept. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan had a handbag
reportedly containing valuable jewelry stolen at London's Heathrow airport on
Thursday, a police spokeswoman said.
The spokeswoman said that as Lohan exited Terminal One at
the airport at about 6:45 pm (1745 GMT), she noticed that her orange Hermes
handbag was missing from her baggage trolley.
The bag apparently contained "a quantity of jewelry,"
police said. Her vital asthma medication was also in the bag.
Celebrity website TMZ said the contents of the handbag
were worth over 1 million dollars, citing a source close to the case.
The "Mean Girls" actress was in tears as she was
photographed shortly after discovering she was target of the grand-theft
caper.
"She is begging for the return of the items," said Lohan's
spokeswoman, Leslie Sloane, confirming the theft occurred. "She doesn’t care how
she gets them back, she just wants her stuff back."
The 20-year-old actress arrived in London from Italy,
where she was at the Venice Film Festival promoting her new film "Bobby," a
biopic about the 1968 assassination of Robert F. Kennedy.
Meanwhile, the actress said she was still planning a trip
to Iraq to help rally the troops. Enditem
