    RAMALLAH, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian Fatah movement will strongly support Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas if he decided to break up the Hamas-led government, a spokesman for Fatah said on Wednesday.

    Abbas "has the right to use his authority in sacking the current government to save the people from falling into more deterioration", Jamal Nazzal said, adding, "If he (Abbas) decided to sack the current government, he will find all support from Fatah movement."

    The reason for sacking the Hamas government "stems from its policy which threatens the Palestinian entity and dry up sources of fund," said Nazzal.

    The Hamas-led government has been facing a grave cash crisis after key donors stopped its fund to the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) after Hamas single-handedly formed the new government in late March.

    Nazzal blamed Hamas on the crisis and called on the movement to meet the international demands of recognizing Israel, the signed accords and renouncing violence. Enditem
