    WASHINGTON, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- NASA announced on Sunday to delay the Atlantis shuttle launch by at least another 24 hours, because the engineers "need more time" to examine the impact of a strong lightning strike on the launch pad, according to the official NASA website.

    WASHINGTON, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- NASA has decided Saturday afternoon to postpone the scheduled Sunday launch for Atlantis for at least 24 hours, according to NASA official website.

    BEIJING, Aug. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- NASA technicians on Sunday successfully replaced two bolts securing a crucial communications antenna on space shuttle Atlantis because engineers thought they were dangerously short.

Atlantis to fly one of most challenging missions

    BEIJING, Aug. 18 (Xinhuanet) -- The space shuttle Atlantis is scheduled to launch Aug. 27 from Kennedy Space Center in Florida on one of the most challenging missions in its history of the 25-year-old shuttle program, NASA managers said.
