BEIRUT, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese Defense Minister Elias Murr said on Sunday that anyone who violates a UN-brokered ceasefire by firing rockets at Israel from Lebanon will be arrested and tried by military court.

"The army will take decisive actions to deal with any violation," he told a news conference.

He said that rocket fired from Lebanon into Israel would be in the interests of the Jewish state, and such an attack would justify Israel's offensives against Lebanon.

He said that the Lebanese army will work with the existing UN force to ensure the implementation of the UN ceasefire resolution. Enditem
