URGENT: French president orders immediate doubling of French troops in UN peacekeeping contingent in Lebanon

    PARIS, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- French President Jacques Chirac announced Thursday that France will immediately double to 400 men its contingent in the U.N. peacekeeping force in Lebanon.
