JERUSALEM, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- One Israeli soldier
was killed and two others were wounded by an anti-tank missile fired by
Hezbollah guerillas in southern Lebanon on Thursday, said the Israeli army.
The casualties were caused in the Lebanese village of
Klia in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon when Hezbollah guerrillas fired
the anti-tank missile at an Israeli tank on Thursday morning, the army said.
One of the two wounded soldiers was in serious
condition, said the army, adding that the two had been evacuated to hospital for
treatment and that their families were informed.
A total of 15 Israeli soldiers were killed in fierce
fighting with Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, the deadliest
single day for the Israeli army since the eruption of the Israel-Hezbollah
violence on July 12.
Over 120 Israelis and about 1,000 Lebanese have been
killed in the 30 days of fighting. Enditem
