                                   Nasarallah: defend Lebanon

BEIJING, Aug. 10 -- Hezbollah leader, Sheik Hassan Nasarallah, has reaffirmed Hezbollah's ability to resist Israeli attacks.

He also said Israeli troops would be forced to leave Lebanon. Nasrallah made the remarks in a speech aired on local and regional television networks.

He urged all Arabs living in northern Israeli city of Haifa to evacuate as soon as possible.

In a major shift in the Hezbollah position, Nasrallah said the militant organization was solidly behind a Lebanese government plan to deploy fifteen thousand soldiers in south Lebanon once a cease-fire is reached and Israel pulls out its forces.
