BAGHDAD, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Nine Iraqi police commando members were killed and up to 30 others wounded, including civilians, when a truck rammed into a police station in Samarra on Monday, a local police source told Xinhua.

    "A suicide bomber drove his explosive-laden truck at about 4:00 p.m. (1200 GMT) into a house used as a base for Iraqi police commandos in the Muatasim neighborhood in Samarra City, some 120 km north of Baghdad," the source said on condition of anonymity.

    The attack destroyed the building, killing nine police commando members and wounding 30 others, including 17 civilians, the source added. Enditem
