BEIJING, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA)'s intranet site is seeking opinions on military innovation and development from its rank and file.
It is the first time that the Army Headquarters has tried to make its intranet a channel of expression for its officers and soldiers.
The Army Headquarters has made the move in response to recent instructions on PLA's political work by Hu Jintao, chairman of the Central Military Commission, state president, and general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
The servicemen have been asked to give opinions on hot topics via PLA's newspapers, periodicals, intranet, TV channels, and radio broadcasts. The General Office of the PLA General Political Department issues "Golden Idea Awards" to those who have contributed useful opinions to the Headquarters. Enditem
