Thaksin declines to say whether to take political break after election

    BANGKOK, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's caretaker Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra said on Sunday that he will not disclose whether to take a political break after the Oct. 15 election although he has already made a decision on it.

Thai Election Commission to appeal suspending election

    BANGKOK, April 28 (Xinhua) -- The Election Commission (EC) of Thailand agreed on Friday to suspend the third round of elections in 14 constituencies scheduled for Saturday following the Administrative Court's order, but will appeal the order with the Constitution Court.

    BANGKOK, April 28 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's three top courts on Friday failed to reach a common ground regarding whether to nullify this month's parliamentary election in the wake of the King's advice for them to find a solution to the constitutional quagmire.
