CAIRO, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- Three Israeli soldiers were
killed in clashes with Hezbollah guerrillas in southern Lebanon on Friday,
according to Dubai-based Al-Arabiya television channel.
The report said that two soldiers were wounded without
giving other details.
The new casualties came a day after 12 Israelis,
including eight civilians and four soldiers, were killed by Hezbollah, Israel's
bloodiest day since the confrontation with Hezbollah erupted over three weeks
ago.
Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah threatened
Thursday to target Tel Aviv if central Beirut was hit by airstrikes.
"If you target our capital, we will target yours. If you
target Beirut, we will target Tel Aviv, and Hezbollah is capable of doing so,"

BEIRUT, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Hassan Nasrallah, leader of
Lebanese Hezbollah threatened late Thursday that the guerrilla group would fire
rockets at Tel Aviv deep inside Israel if Beirut was hit by air strikes.
"If you strike Beirut, the Islamic Resistance will strike
Tel Aviv and it is able to do so," Nasrallah said in a taped televised message.
Eight Israelis killed in Hezbollah rocket

JERUSALEM, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Eight people were killed and
dozens wounded in massive rocket attacks by Lebanese Hezbollah on northern
Israel on Thursday, local media said.
Five were killed in Acre when a rocket landed near a
house while residents stood on a balcony. Three others were killed in rocket
attacks near Ma'alot, The Jerusalem Post reported. According to a Yedioth
Ahronoth report, those killed in Ma'alot were apparently hit by a rocket when
they stepped out of their car after hearing a siren.
