KABUL, Aug. 3 (Xinnhua) -- A suicide bomb attack left 21 dead and injured
13 others in southern Kandahar province Thursday, Interior Ministry spokesman
Yusuf Stanikzai said.
The incident took place at 2:00 p.m. in the bazaar of Panjwai district
killing 21 dead including children, Stanikzai told Xinhua.
All the victims, he added, were civilians. However, he declined to say if
there were any casualties on Afghan or U.S.-led coalition troops. He said he has
not received the report.
He put the attack on the enemies of Afghanistan a term used against
Taliban-linked militants.
It is the second bomb attack in Afghanistan over the past two days.
A roadside bomb attack in Benihisar district of Kabul province left one
person dead and injured two others on Wednesday.
One Cananidan soldier was killed and four others wounded in two roadside
bomb attacks Thursday near the village of Pashmul in the southern Kandahar
