KABUL, Aug. 3 (Xinnhua) -- A suicide bomb attack left 21 dead and injured 13 others in southern Kandahar province Thursday, Interior Ministry spokesman Yusuf Stanikzai said.

The incident took place at 2:00 p.m. in the bazaar of Panjwai district killing 21 dead including children, Stanikzai told Xinhua.

All the victims, he added, were civilians. However, he declined to say if there were any casualties on Afghan or U.S.-led coalition troops. He said he has not received the report.

He put the attack on the enemies of Afghanistan a term used against Taliban-linked militants.

It is the second bomb attack in Afghanistan over the past two days.

A roadside bomb attack in Benihisar district of Kabul province left one person dead and injured two others on Wednesday.

One Cananidan soldier was killed and four others wounded in two roadside bomb attacks Thursday near the village of Pashmul in the southern Kandahar province. Enditem
