COLOMBO, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Sri Lankan
government said Thursday the Tamil Tiger rebels was pushing the island towards
war by attacking a Muslim-dominated town in the east, and their action was
weakening the international truce monitors.

killed in a bus explosion blamed on the Tamil Tiger rebels in eastern Sri Lanka
late on Monday night, defense officials said Tuesday.
