WASHINGTON, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Gerald Ford, the oldest living former U.S.
president, was released from a hospital in Vail, Colorado, Wednesday, after
being hospitalized for two days, CNN Television reported.
Ford, 93, will return to his summer home in nearby Beaver Creek, the report
quoted his secretary, Penny Circle, as saying.
Earlier in the day, Circle announced that Ford has been admitted to Vail
Valley Medical Center after experiencing shortness of breath.
Ford, who celebrated his 93rd birthday on July 14, has made few public
appearances in recent months and has had some health setbacks, including a
12-day hospitalization in January for pneumonia.
He became the 38th U.S. president in 1974, after Richard Nixon resigned for
the Watergate scandal.
Ford and his wife have lived in Rancho Mirage, California, since leaving
the White House in 1977. Enditem
