BEIJING, July 22 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced on Saturday that investigations have shown the export of PBT resin from Japan and Taiwan into China's mainland's market constitutes dumping.

    On its website, the ministry said that it will place taxes ranging from 6.24 percent to 17.31 percent on PBT resin from Japan and Taiwan from July 22, which will last for five years.

    The ministry concluded the dumping of PBT resin from these two places had caused substantial damage on manufacturers in the mainland.

    Importers of PBT resin will have to pay anti-dumping taxes to customs following the detailed prescriptions for different manufacturers as of July 22.

    The ministry launched an anti-dumping investigation into PBT resin imported from Japan and Taiwan in June last year.

    On March 22, MOC announced its preliminary ruling on the case, levying taxes at a rate between 12.78 percent and 17.31 percent and then the ministry conducted further investigations before releasing the final decision.

    PBT Resin, also called Polybutylene Terephthalate Resin, is used in auto manufacturing, telecommunications, textile and equipment and instrument manufacturing. Enditem
