BEIJING, July 21 (Xinhuanet)-- Justin Timberlake has confessed he was "infatuated" with ex-lover Britney Spears from the minute he set eyes on her.
Timberlake, 25, first met Spears as a child on US TV show "The Mickey Mouse Club."
"I was in love with her from the start," he tells GQ magazine in its August issue. "I was infatuated with her from the moment I saw her."
"I wish her well, and I want to see her win," Timberlake tells the magazine.
After a public romance, the couple broke up in 2002.
Timberlake sang about their split in "Cry Me a River," from his top-selling 2002 solo debut, "Justified."
"I used my mind," he says. "I came up with a song."
Timberlake is determined to keep his personal life with current girlfriend, Hollywood beauty Cameron Diaz, 33, private.
He explained: "For me this time around it's been important to stay out of the limelight. That's made it more enriching." Enditem
