MEXICO CITY, July 14 (Xinhua) -- Mexican Foreign Ministry said in a Friday statement that it condemned attacks on Israel by Lebanese militias, and also the Israeli attacks on civilians in Lebanon.
The Ministry said that it "energetically condemns the disproportionate use of violence on Israel's behalf," which has killed 61 people in Lebanon so far, adding that it urged the international community to "adopt measures that will halt the confrontation."
Israel began bombing Lebanon following Wednesday's capture of two Israeli soldiers by Lebanese guerrillas Hezbollah.
Besides killing dozens of civilians, the Israeli bombings had destroyed infrastructure and isolated Lebanese citizens. Enditem
