Special report: 2006 FIFA World Cup
RIO DE JANEIRO, July 7 (Xinhua) -- Brazil defender
Gilberto on Friday voiced his anger with teammate Roberto Carlos for lack of
concentration in the team's World Cup quarterfinal defeat.
"Roberto definitely should not spruce up his socks
while Zidanewas converting a dangerous free kick," said Gilberto. "He could have
left that for later."
But Gilberto denied that the five-time world
champions were unmotivated, saying any player could not be motivated to play in
a World Cup quarterfinal match.
Gilberto scored a goal in Brazil's 4-1 routing of
Japan in the group stage, a match which was considered the best Brazil played at
the tournament.
"I hope to play at the next World Cup and fight for a
sixth title," said Gilberto. Enditem
