STOCKHOLM, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Sweden coach Lars Lagerback has planned to quit after the 2008 European championships, local press reported on Thursday.

The 57-year-old told the local paper Sundsvalls Tidning that both the Sweden football federation and himself would not want to continue as now.

"I've already been involved for nine years and that's unusually long,"he said.

Sweden qualified for the World Cup second round where they lost 0-2 to the hosts Germany. Enditem
