DHAKA, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Bangladeshi President Professor Iajuddin Ahmed resumed his office Thursday and will attend office from Sunday, according to a notification of the Cabinet Division.
Earlier, an official announcement has said a medical board found him fit to work.
The medical board Thursday reviewed the postoperative health condition of the president and expressed "satisfaction" after the review, UNB news agency quoted Press Secretary to the President M Mukhlesur Rahman Chowdhury as saying.
The board recommended that "the president can resume light work with immediate effect."
The 75-year-old president was flown to Singapore on May 24 for treatment of his cardiac complications and returned home on June 20.
In his absence, Speaker Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar took over as Acting President. Enditem
