BEIJING, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co, a Sino-French joint venture, sold 100,173 vehicles in the first half of this year, up 38 percent from the same period of last year.
The auto maker produced 105,334 units in January-June, up 64 percent from the corresponding period of 2005.
The Hubei-based company in central China, jointly owned by Dongfeng Motor Corp. and PSA Peugeot Citroen, saw declining output and sales since 2003.
The accumulated losses of the company totaled 540 million yuan in 2004 due to sluggish sales and high costs. Enditem
