SEOUL, July 6 (Xinhua) -- South Korea will hold the scheduled dialogue with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), South Korean Unification Minister Lee Jong-seok said Thursday.

Suspending the dialogue with DPRK may further complicate, if not destroy, international negotiations over the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula, Lee said.

"It is the common position of the countries involved in the six-party talks to urge Pyongyang to return to the talks," he told the National Assembly committee on unification, foreign affairs and trade.

Lee is set to have a four-day negotiation with his counterpart Kwon Ho-ung, chief councilor of DPRK's cabinet, in the southern port city of Busan from next Tuesday. Enditem
