SOFIA, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Microsoft Corp. has decided to open a software logistics center in Sofia, which will be the biggest in the Balkans, Teodor Milev, CEO of the Microsoft Bulgaria, announced Monday.
At an official ceremony, Microsoft's Senior Vice-President Eric Rudder and the Bulgarian Information Technique and Communication Agency signed a memorandum for cooperation mapping out long-term partnership between Bulgaria and the world software giant.
The logistics center will serve clients from all-Balkan countries, such as Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia, Macedonia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Greece, according to Milev.
"The Bulgarian establishment will work for the head-to-tail customer support, while current service in Bucharest manages just certain programs and licenses", Milev said.
The center is expected to start operating within a year, Milev said, adding the planned center will make it possible that all future Microsoft softwares are with Bulgarian language version, including the latest Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007. Enditem
