KUWAIT CITY, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait condemned on Monday Israel's continuous attacks on the Palestinians.
"The Israeli aggression was targeting unarmed civilians and vital Palestinian institutions," Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah said in a statement.
He termed the attacks as criminal acts that were considered taboo by all revealed religions and also considered violations of international agreements and human values.
Kuwait called on the international community to immediately intervene to stop the killing and destruction being committed by the Israeli authorities and to achieve a just, comprehensive and permanent peace in the region, the statement said.
Israel launched an operation dubbed "Summer Rains" against the Gaza Strip on June 28 after two days of unfruitful international mediation over the release of Cpl. Gilad Shalit, who was kidnapped by Palestinian militants near the Gaza border on June 25. Enditem
