BAGHDAD, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Former Iraqi president
Saddam Hussein's wife and daughter, who are living in exile, are placed on a
list of 41 most wanted fugitives by the Iraqi government, Iraqi national
security advisor said on Sunday.
"The Iraqi government is proud to announce that we
have created our first most wanted list," Mowafaq al-Rubaie told reporters.
"Those wanted people are trying to destroy our
country and trigger a sectarian war between Sunnis and Shiites," he said.
The list was topped by Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, who
was number two in Iraq's Revolution Command Council and the highest ranking
official still on the run.
The list includes Saddam's eldest daughter Raghad,
who lives in neighbouring Jordan, and his wife Sajida, believed to be living in
the Gulf Arab state of Qatar.
Abu Ayyub al-Masri, the successor to the slain al-Qaida's leader in Iraq Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, is also on the list. Enditem
