FRANKFURT, June 30 (Xinhua) -- Frank Lampard will train with England squad on Friday after twisting his ankle in a practice match at the team's training camp, according to England Football Association.
"I've spoken to Frank, he feels fine and he expects to train," one official from England Football Association said anonymously onFriday.
The Chelsea midfielder left the pitch in Baden-Baden with ice strapped to the injury and underwent intensive treatment on Thursday.
Lampard, yet to score in Germany despite 21 shots at goal - the highest in the tournament - is set to receive further attention from England team doctor Leif Sward and the physio therapist Gary Lewin on Friday.
It is thought he will be fit for Saturday's World Cup quarter-final against Portugal, although he may need pain-killing injections. Enditem
