MOSCOW, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Moscow will not join any ultimatums undermining the authority of the UN Security Council, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday at a meeting with Russian ambassadors.

    "We do not want to join any kind of ultimatums, which simply deadlock the situation and jeopardize the authority of the UN Security Council," Putin was quoted by the Itar-Tass news agency as saying.

    Russia "is proposing concrete decisions in the domain of nonproliferation, for instance, the idea of setting up international uranium enrichment centers," he added, referring to the Iranian nuclear issue. Enditem
