COLOGNE, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Former England captain Alan Shearer said on Monday that Switzerland will kill football if they play like what they did in the World Cup.

    Shearer, who works for BBC as a World Cup commentator, said of the game between Ukraine and Switzerland, "Both teams are content to sit back, sit deep and get everyone behind the ball. Ukraine tried a little bit but Switzerland will kill football if they play like this."

    Ukraine beat Switzerland 3-0 in a penalty shootout after the game was deadlocked at 0-0 after 120 minutes.
