KAMPALA, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Ugandan Prime Minister Apollo Robin Nsibambi said here Saturday that Uganda and China enjoy very good relationship and constantly enhancing cooperation with China is his government's established policy.

Uganda will seriously fulfill the consensus reached between the two sides, said Nsibambi during his talks with visiting Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.

He reaffirmed Uganda's adherence to the one China policy and support for China's great cause of reunification.

Wen, who arrived in Uganda Friday for a two-day official visit, praised the Ugandan government's firm adherence to the one China policy, saying that the Chinese government is willing to realize a peaceful reunification to the best of its ability. However, "Taiwan independence" is absolutely unacceptable, said Wen.

The Chinese premier said his visit to Uganda, the first visit by a Chinese premier to this east African country, has achieved the goal of enhancing bilateral understanding and trust on one hand and boosting communication and cooperation on the other.

Wen talked with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni on Friday. After that, China and Uganda issued a joint communique.

Uganda is the last stop of Wen's eight-day Africa tour, which has taken him to Egypt, Ghana, the Republic of the Congo, Angola, South Africa and Tanzania. Enditem
