BAGHDAD, June 22 (Xinhua) -- Four U.S. marines were killed in two insurgent attacks on Tuesday in the volatile Anbar province in western Iraq, the U.S. military said on Thursday.
It said that three marines were killed when their
vehicle hit a makeshift bomb and the other marine was killed when he came under
fire while conducting security operation, the military said in a statement.
The U.S. military did not provide further information
about the attacks.
