Bush arrives in Budapest for one-day visit

    BUDAPEST, June 21 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President George W. Bush arrived here Wednesday evening for a one-day official visit.

    Bush will meet with Hungarian President Laszlo Solyom on Thursday to discuss the regional situation and the U.S. visa requirement for Hungarians.

    He will also hold talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany on economic issues and the fight against terrorism. After their talks, the two leaders will hold a joint press conference.

    On Thursday afternoon, the U.S. president is scheduled to give a speech on the relationship between the United States and the European Union at the famous tourist resort of Citadel on Gellert Hill.

    Bush arrived in Budapest after attending an annual EU-U.S. summit in Vienna. Enditem
