Cona Lake lies in Amdo County on north Tibetan grassland with an area of 400 sq.km, 4,650 meters above sea level. It's considered as a holy lake among locals. After the construction of Qinghai-Tibet Railway, it's the nearest lake of this plateau railway. (Source: China Tibet Information Center)
