| Pilgrims walk around the sacred Namco Lake, north
of Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, June 10,
2006. Namco, once dubbed as the highest inland lake in the world, occupies
an area of 1,940 square kilometers at an altitude of 4,718 meters. The
sacred lake attracts lots of pilgrims and visotors each year. It is beside
the Qinghai-Tibet railway which will start trial operation on July 1.
