 The file photo taken in June 2005 shows
herdsmen dance on the Qiangtang Grassland in Tibet Autonomous Region,
southwest China. Qiangtang Grassland is surrounded by Kunlun Mountains,
Dangla (Tanggula) Mountains and Kangdese Mountains. Its length from the
east to the west is about 1,200 kilometers and the length from the north
to the south is about 700 kilometers. The average latitude is above 4,500
meters. The Qinghai-Tibet railway which will begin its trial operation on
June 1, runs across the Qiangtang Grassland. (Xinhua
