RIO DE JANEIRO, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Brazil striker
Ronaldo complained on Thursday about media's pressure over him during these
first World Cup days.
"Every little problem I have becomes a huge thing. No
one can handle such pressure," Ronaldo said. "I'm trying not to care. Its
already a huge pressure to be playing the World Cup."
The striker denied that emotional problems caused his
poor performance in Brazil's first World Cup game against Croatia on Tuesday.
"I'm aware that it wasn't the performance I would've likedf or the opener," the
player said.
"Now I'm going practice harder to be able to perform
better against Australia," he added.
Ronaldo practiced today with the team, working on his
physical fitness. On Wednesday, he was taken to a Frankfurt hospital complaining
of dizziness and did several medical tests. He was given some medication and
went back to the team hotel.
"I felt an indisposition on my day off and the doctor
took me to the hospital for a series of examinations," the Brazilian striker
said. "There was nothing abnormal and it gave us the tranquility we needed. I'm
feeling much better today." He went through a stretching session early Thursday
at the team's base in Konigstein and was put through some running drills in the
afternoon. Enditem
