WASHINGTON, June 13 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday endorsed a package of supplemental funds for war efforts and hurricane relief that are worth 94.5 billion U.S. dollars, CNN Television reported.

Passed with a 351-67 vote, the funds include 66 billion dollars for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan that the Pentagon urgently needs to purchase fighting gears.

The added money will bring the total cost of the two wars to about 450 billion dollars.

The package also contains 20 billion dollars to support rebuilding efforts in Gulf Coast states that were ravaged by two hurricanes last year.

It also provides funds for bird flu prevention and border security.

The Senate is expected to pass the bill on Wednesday before sending it to U.S. President George W. Bush to sign into law. Enditem
