GAZA, June 11 (Xinhua) -- A fresh blast was heard in Gaza City on Sunday, shortly after an Israeli air strike targeting a car carrying Hamas militants in the city, Palestinian witnesses said.

    At least two Palestinians were wounded in the blast, said the witnesses.

    The cause for the explosion was not immediately clear.

    Just moments ago, the Israeli army launched an air strike targeting a car in northern Gaza City, but the Hamas militants on board survived the attack and only one militant sustained minor injuries.

    There was no immediate comment from the Israeli army concerning the new blast. Enditem
