Special reports: Al-Qaida's chief Zarqawi killed
BAGHDAD, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and 28others wounded when a roadside bomb went off in a busy area incentral Baghdad on Saturday, an Interior Ministry source said.
"A makeshift bomb went off at about 10:35 a.m. (0635 GMT) inthe Wathba Square on the al-Jamhoriyah Street, killing threepeople and wounding 28 others," the source told Xinhua oncondition of anonymity.
Iraqi police rushed to the area and cordoned off the scene, headded.
Violence has persisted in Iraq despite the formation of a newnational unity government on May 20. Enditem
