The Media Center of the Heads of State Council Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States 2006 will be located in the Shanghai International Media Center (Oriental Pearl TV Tower). The center will open June 12-16 and 7:00-24:00 each day.

    With an area of around 2700 m2, the center will provide press ID cards distribution, international quality signal, satellite transmission, working space renting, internet access, business center and other services. Updated summit information and media schedule will also be published on the center's bulletin-board timely.

    In most cases, media covering the summit will leave for meeting venues from the center. Since the center is within the traffic control area, to facilitate the media's work during the summit, we suggest the media choose from those three hotels recommended. Shuttle buses will run between the center and the hotels (including the above mentioned hotels and International Equatorial Hotel Shanghai ) every 30 minutes.
