DUISBERG, Germany, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Italy coach Marcello Lippi said he's never been over-worried about the injuries though three regulars had missed Thursday's training session here.

"As for this morning and yesterday's training, I saw all my players were in good conditions," said the 58-year-old at a press conference.

The Azzurri have been hit by a series of late injuries ahead oftheir opening World Cup match against Ghana on Monday, as fullback Gianluca Zambrotta and midfielder Gennaro Gattuso have been ruled out with thigh injuries and central defender Alessandro Nesta alsoin doubt.

All of the three failed to show up Thursday morning at Italy's first training site after arrival.

But Lippi insisted that the team should keep positive.

"It could happen that someone got missing from the training andeven the match, but not everyone is missing," he said. "My only worry is to get to the day before the game with as many players in the best condition possible."

Also, he refused to talk about changing tactics: "I don't want to discuss any transformation or possiblity to change our tactical if the injuries forced me to make."

"It is very important that all the players in the squad, especially the reserves, feel my faith in them," he said. "Maybe I had made tons of faults as a coach, but I've never cried about injuries."

Lippi said Nesta could recover in time for the Ghana match as the AC Milan defender is scheduled to have tests on Saturday before deciding if he could go on the pitch.

Italy's Group E also features the United States and the Czech Republic. Enditem
