KABUL, June 8 (Xinhua) -- A road accident made by the U.S. military vehicle in the outskirts of Kabul Thursday caused injuries to four Afghan civilians, a victim of the incident said.

"We were on minibus when a Land Cruiser driven recklessly by U.S. soldiers hit our vehicle, wounding four persons," Abdul Fatah, 21, told Xinhua.

Fatah, who received arm injuries, said that he and another injured received first aid treatment here at the site while the two others, had been taken to the Emergency Hospital.

He added that the U.S. soldiers after discussion with the locals promised to compensate the victims.

Commenting on the incident, spokesperson of the U.S. military Tamara Lawrence confirmed that some people were wounded in Thursday's accident.

"I can tell you that there was an accident. There were some injuries and all the injured men have been taken to local hospital," Lawrence told Xinhua.

It is the second road accident by the U.S. military in the past two weeks in the Afghan capital.

The first accident, which triggered Afghans' anger and bloody anti-U.S. riot on May 29, claimed the lives of some 20 civilians and injured 100 others. Enditem
