BEIJING, June 8 (Xinhua) -- China appreciates the "active stance" and "important efforts" Pakistan has been taking in the international combat on terrorism, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Liu Jianchao said here Thursday.

Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Cui Tiankai held a third round of anti-terrorism consultation with the Pakistan side on June 6, to discuss the international and regional situations on the war on terror, China's anti-terror measures and the role of the United Nations in the fight against terrorism.

Liu acknowledged at a regular news conference that such consultations are helpful.

China always supports and is actively partaking in the international anti-terror cooperation. Besides Pakistan, China has also held regular consultations on the fight against terrorism with the United States, Russia, France, Britain and India. Enditem
