"Ice Age 2" premieres in Beijing Thursday

    BEIJING, June 8 -- Hollywood animated blockbuster"Ice Age 2: The Meltdown," which has earned 600 million dollars around the world, will be screened in Chinese cinemas starting Thursday.     

    The Beijing News and New Century Cinema have invited 20 children and their parents to watch the film and work on a film report after the screening.     

    Chinese celebrites such as Sun Nan, Lin Yilun and Huo Jianqi will also take their kids to the premiere.     

    "Ice Age 2" is targetted at children and their parents ahead of the upcoming summer holiday in China.
