JAKARTA, June 7 (Xinhua) -- The second edition of the controversial Playboy Indonesia magazine was published in Indonesia on Wednesday.
"Over one hundred thousands of the magazine have been published today," Fani Wulandari, a staff member of the magazine told Xinhua.
The publisher of the magazine Erwin Arnada made a statement in the magazine that the headquarters of the company has moved to the beautiful tourist resort of Bali island since May.
"We have a hope that in the future it will grow the norm of multi-culturalism that is more ideal, (but) not to grow a monopoly from one kind of view or norm," he said.
The first edition of the magazine, which was published on April7, had been strongly opposed by Muslim community in the world's most populous Muslim country for it was accused for eroticism and western lifestyle. But the magazine itself was in high demand.
The country's leaders from various Muslim organization were against the publication of the magazine.
The magazine's headquarter office in Jakarta was attacked by a radical Muslim group of the Muslim Defender Group. Endite
