NEW YORK, June 6 (Xinhua) -- World crude oil prices fell modestly Tuesday as concerns over Iran eased.
New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in July, dipped 10 cents to finish at 72.50 dollars per barrel after falling as low as 71.35 dollars.
In London, Brent North Sea crude for July delivery shed 56 cents to 70.81 dollars per barrel.
U.S. State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said on Tuesday that the United States will give Iran "a little bit of space" to consider a package of incentives intended to resolve the nuclear crisis with Iran.
Meanwhile, U.S. Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman said on Tuesday that he does not anticipate an oil supply disruption and U.S consumers would not suffer undue hardships in the event Iran disrupts Gulf oil supplies as the United States would tap its strategic oil reserve. Enditem
