Pang and Tong, who won the gold medal at the world championship in March, rallied from second place after Sunday's short program to move ahead of their rivals.

Olympic runners-up Zhang and Zhang finished second despite a top placing in short program.

Young pair Wang Jiang, 17, and Wang Xue, 14, placed third.

In other competition, Li Chengjiang and Liu Yan each claimed the men's and women's singles title, while Wang Chen and Yu Xianyang were crowned ice dance champions.
