Olympic official praises China-Mexico sports co-op

    MEXICO CITY, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Liu Peng, the visiting President of China's Olympic Committee, praised the sporting cooperation between Mexico and China, during a Monday press conference held after meeting Mexico's President Vicente Fox.

    Liu praised the work of the 34 Chinese coaches working in nine Mexican states and said he was pleased with the mutual support Mexico and China offer each other in sport and other areas.

    "Our nations' sporting future will be even brighter," Liu told the press, adding that on Tuesday he will visit the Mexico City-based national Olympic committee. Enditem
