Urgent: UN Security Council delegation arrives in Khartoum for visit

    KHARTOUM, June 5 (Xinhua) -- A UN Security Council delegation comprising permanent representatives of all its 15 member states arrived here Monday evening on its first visit to Sudan.

    The delegation is to hold meetings with Sudanese officials on Tuesday on a UN role to stabilize the situation in Sudan's western region of Darfur and help implement a peace agreement the government signed with Darfur rebel movements last month. Enditem
