Fudan sees a record of foreign students apply

    BEIJING, June 5 -- A record 643 foreign students from 28 countries sat Fudan University's undergraduate entrance exam over the weekend, Shanghai Daily reported.

    The number of examinees jumped by about 30 percent from last year, the first time Fudan held a written exam for foreign applicants. Most of the applicants come from neighboring Asian countries, such as Japan and South Korea.
