Nepali govt-guerrilla talks to be held next week

    KATHMANDU, June 4 (Xinhua) -- The meeting of Nepali Council of Ministers Sunday decided to hold the next round of peace talks with the guerrilla within next week, Nepali FM Radio reported.

    The first round peace talks were held on May 26.

    According to the radio, the meeting also discussed agenda for the talks and Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala's India visit scheduled to start on Tuesday.

    According to the radio, Nepal will propose for special economic assistance from the Indian government in the upcoming four-day official visit of Koirala.

    Koirala is scheduled to leave Kathmandu for New Delhi on Tuesday in the first ever official visit after his appointed PM on April 27.

    The Ministry of Finance is busy preparing a proposal for special economic assistance to be presented to India during the visit. Enditem
